We finalised to cast Michael and Pricilla. They both have great chemistry on camera and work well together. Their schedules are also similar to mine so I can do lots of filming even if some of my other team mates cant make it.

As a result of all the feedback from,  we reviewed them all and made this mind map witht the things we agreed with and then further developed them into more detailed sections. This was the basis for out second pitch.

Casting

and  test shooting

Spike Lacey.

Our test shots with Spike was somewhat successful and he fufils all of our criterias. However he is not a proffessional actor and he and Pricilla had never really interacted before in real life, so this made it all significantly awkard on screen. We also thought that his dress style might not be what we were looking for, and to get a whole new wardrobe for an actor would become too complicated and really unresourcefull.

Joe Jones.

Joe and Pricilla are friends in real life so their chemistry was much less awkard and forced. Joe also fit in all of our criteria of the male actor, however he often became unsure of the task and went off in tangents to the task at hand. This would become awfully complicated when filming the real project since we only have a restricted amount of time to film in certain locations.

Tom Clayton.

Tom was the second person we thought of after Issac and he fit right in with our character's critea, both physically and in the way he acts. He and Pricilla are also friends which makes things much easier to direct and not get conflicted. They have a natural chemistry on screen since they feel very comfortable with one another and this is something the other boys didn't really have. Tom dresses appropriately to what we pictured on our character and he acts very comfortable and natural with Pricilla.

The only problem with Tom is that he does not have a large amount of free time when we wanted to film, but that's not catastophic or anything, we can plan around his schedule. This may cause us to drop some scenes but hopefully it will still all go well.

Michael O.

Due to continuous cancellation from Tom we could no longer relly on him (check Blog for full disclosure).

So now we are using Michael who we know is extremely reliable since he has worked with us on the prelim task and also on my projects last year.

The on-screen chemistry between Pricilla and Michael is very strong and they look quite confident with each other's company. Michael has been infront of the camera before, many times so he is confident and follows direction very well. We can also  trust him to always be there and on time as he is treating this with proffesialism.

Style wise Michael already has the style we want so it makes it much easier in the wardrobe department. He does not however fufil all of our initial character requirements. The reason that he is mixed race instead of white dims the racial contrast we wanted to achieve, but we have worked around this problem, the answer to it being to enhance their social contrast instead.
